Braver Angels of Washtenaw County Michigan works in our local community by holding skill-building workshops, debates, informal conversations about current topics, and public presentations designed to bridge the polarized political divide we experience in our country. These events allow conservatives, liberals, and everyone in-between to get past the destructive stereotypes so we can have civil conversations about real issues that lead to productive problem-solving.
Our Alliance mailing list is limited to people with a Washtenaw County zip code. Michigan as a state has coordinators whom you can contact here. As a Braver Angels member, you will receive emails about events in our state and national events, including workshops. Check out our national website here.

Our Own American Stories
We actively engaged the community with structured programs designed to bridge divides:
We held four Depolarizing Workshops aimed at reducing political divisiveness.
We partnered with the University of Michigan’s Community Scholars Program for a screening and discussion of "Undivide Us."
We moderated two debates at OLLIi (Oscher Lifelong Learning Institute).
Our commitment extends to developing local expertise:
Members trained and certified as both in-person and online moderators, as well as Ambassador.
We served as a representative on the Braver Network and on the Michigan Steering Committee.
